Newz Group manages statewide public notice websites for numerous state press associations. It grew from a start-up initiative to purchase and run press association clipping services, beginning with that of Arkansas Press Association, and morphed into a statewide notice company from there. Newz Group is a family-owned Subchapter S corporation, operated by two brothers, Brad and Scott Buchanan.

Brad received his BA from Westminster College in 1981, and his MBA from the University of Missouri at Columbia in 1989. His employment history prior to getting involved with Newz Group consisted of working for telephone and cable television companies, including Contel (which could easily have been awarded a truth in advertising award), and GTE. Brad has served as President and CEO of Newz Group since 1997.

Discussion: How the Start-up Works at the Press Association,

Jerry Tidwell, Granbury , TX
