Public Notice In the Courts

Welcome to the Public Notice Resource Center's case law archive. Here you will find several of the most important legal cases that have dealt with the use of public notices. These cases have set precedent for how newspapers are used to notify the public.

State and Federal courts are often asked to decide cases dealing with how public notices are published.  These cases include decisions about the sufficiency of a notice, such as whether publishing a summary of a notice, instead of the full text of the notice, constitutes proper notice.  Also decided are cases that deal with whether certain newspapers are qualified to publish notices.

If you have any questions about these cases, please feel free to contact us at information@pnrc.net .
