2008 season is winding down.

  • A battle with GlobalNotice, Inc. in Georgia ended in the newspapers' favor
  • The ongoing legislative retribution against news coverage in New Jersey created concern, but has ebbed
  • Minnesota Newspaper Association put up an admirable grassroots battle to save foreclosure notices
  • Maryland Delaware DC also fought to preserve foreclosure notices, even as serious concerns about redlining in Baltimore indicated even more notice was needed

New National Websites: Talking Points

GlobalNotice, Inc.,  a Delaware corporation, has not yet withdrawn from the field. Its website, www.globalnotice.com, remains active. But Internet public notice remains an immature service, and should be approached with extreme caution.
